As the Simulator Test Driver for Lola Yamaha ABT, Hugh has been helping the team to optimise car setup and strategy for this season, while also playing a role in the development of the car.

Hugh Barter, Lola Yamaha ABT Simulator Test Driver, said: “It’s a privilege to continue to work with Lola Yamaha ABT on development for both the current Formula E car and the GEN4 car that will be competing from next season. Taking part in Rookie Free Practice is a great opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to once again getting behind the wheel of the Lola T001 and translating everything we’ve achieved in the sim to the track.”

Mark Preston, Lola Yamaha ABT Team Principal, said: “We are very pleased that Hugh is returning to the track with Lola Yamaha ABT. He has provided invaluable feedback both in the sim, and behind the wheel of the GEN4 car we are currently developing, so we look forward to getting additional input from him in Miami while giving him crucial development time on track.”
