Dennis' perfect start to the GEN3 era

Andretti's Jake Dennis delivered a masterful performance to secure a historic win in the Mexico City E-Prix, marking the first victory for the GEN3 era (something that Andretti also achieved for the start of GEN2). Starting from the second spot on the grid, Dennis took the lead on the 12th lap and never looked back, controlling the race with a dominant drive.

Dennis never lost his lead and crossed the finish line a huge seven seconds ahead of the competition, and took the fastest lap for extra measure. This win not only marked the first race of the season but also set the stage for his eventual championship title, securing an impressive, record-breaking 11 podiums en route to the title.

Wehrlein, the master of Mexico City

2024 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix start

Pascal Wehrlein cemented his status as the maestro of Mexico City with a flawless victory, leading the majority of the race. This victory was a result of a well-executed strategy and improved qualifying performance by his team at TAG Heuer Porsche.

He managed his energy efficiently and maintained a comfortable lead on a track where overtaking can be difficult. This win was his second in Mexico and contributed to a total of four podiums at the circuit, of which two are wins.

Rowland romps to Mexico City victory

RACE_HIGHLIGHTS

Oliver Rowland secured an impressive victory in the Mexico City E-Prix, overcoming a qualifying mistake that left him in fourth. His win came on the back of a perfectly timed strategic decision. After a safety car threatened to nullify his second ATTACK MODE, he masterfully used the remaining power to execute a brilliant series of overtakes.

In a stunning display, Rowland took on a trio of Porsche-powered machines and three Formula E champions. First, it was passing Andretti's Jake Dennis, before going after the TAG Heuer Porsche pair of Pascal Wehrlein, and race leader Antonio Felix da Costa in half a lap to take the lead. This victory, his second in three races, broke Porsche’s winning streak - and the rest of the season was history.
