The best of social: 2019 Monaco E-Prix

After an epic second win for DS Techeetah's Jean-Eric Vergne in Monaco, we look back at the best bits from the race in Monte Carlo

The best of social: 2019 Monaco E-Prix

From Jean-Eric Vergne's masterpiece in Monaco to Nico Rosberg's hot lap with HSH Prince Albert II and Naomi Harris' Bond-themed yacht party. After all the action in the principality, we take a look at the best of social from the 2019 Monaco E-Prix.

Moneypenny in Monaco

When Miss Moneypenny (aka Naomi Harris) is spotted at the 2019 Monaco E-Prix, there's can only be one kind of party on the cards - a 007 themed Party. Flanked by the likes of model David Gandy, fellow Bond veteran Rick Yune and Formula E Founder Alejandro Agag, the Monaco E-Prix was Harris' third visit to Formula E in the series five year history.

JEV ends the streak - the title hunt begins

With just two more rounds in the voestalpine European races to go before the epic double-header season finale in New York City, Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) ended the record streak of eight winners in eight races with the first double victory of the season. With just one point between him and his teammate Andre Lotterer in second and just 33 points separating the top ten, there's everything to play for.

Battle to the bitter end

While our reigning champion might have clinched another win, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park (or should we say harbour?). Hunting down JEV was Nissan e.dams rookie Oliver Rowland in second and Venturi home race hero Felipe Massa in third.

Massa makes it in Monte carlo

After a disappointing start to the season, Venturi rookie Felipe Massa finally made it onto the podium in an emotional third place finish in his team's home race, "I remember passing by the grandstands during the race and hearing my kids shout for me - it was incredible. At the end of the podium, Gildo Pastor, our team boss, was crying and thanking me for doing this for us here in Monaco. After everything that he's been through, I think this kind of thing gives even more. It brings a great deal of happiness to all of us in the team."
