Wehrlein on his pole-to-victory performance in London

London saw an 11th career win for Wehrlein, and a third victory of the season – which ties the number he scored in his title-winning 2023/24 season.

Porsche’s Pascal Wehrlein managed his third victory of the 2025/26 season in London, pushing himself back to the top of the Drivers’ World Championship with one final race to decide all tomorrow.

The former Champion is in a battle against Andretti’s Jake Dennis – who sits five points behind Wehrlein after a great drive to secure second at the chequered flag – as well as Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans who was impacted heavily from the timing of a Full Course Yellow (FCY). The slow down in proceedings, to recover the Lola Yamaha ABT of Lucas di Grassi, resulted in Wehrlein’s mandatory PIT BOOST stop falling at the best time whereas for Evans, who had already stopped, was left down in eighth.

HISTORY: Who are all the Formula E champions from Seasons 1 to 11?

It means that Evans needs 22 points and both Dennis and Wehrlein to fail to score tomorrow, in order for him to win his first drivers’ title in his final race as a Jaguar driver after 10 years.

“Very happy that's exactly what we needed to being competitive in the Free Practice sessions, but then also putting both cars on the first row and in quali and in the race executing our strategy,” Wehrlein said after the race.

“Unfortunately, for Nico Müller with that intervention of the FCY we were in a good position for a double Porsche podium so a bit of a shame for the Teams’ Championship and for him. But on my side, on the luckier end. It was something we discussed before to cover that risk of intervention therefore we are very happy about today and we focus on tomorrow.

“Great drive from [Nico]. We all know how important it is here, especially important to have both cars together. We've seen that also on other tracks, for example. I think Monaco last year of what the Jaguars did there was a very good example. We are one team, we stick together, and I hope for a good day for him tomorrow as well.”
