Following the widespread acclaim of the first collaboration between Formula E and Tencent Games in 2023 - with Formula E’s second generation racing car, the “GEN2”, launching in Game for Peace - Tencent and the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship are joining forces once again for a second-phase collaboration, set to officially launch across the 2026 Shanghai E-Prix on 4th July 2026.
FOUR FAMOUS FORMULA E TEAMS JOIN THE GAME
This second-phase collaboration features a major upgrade, bringing together four famous car brands from the Formula E GEN3 Evo era, each with a distinctly-designed vehicle. Every model is based on the respective Formula E Team racing cars, infused with the unique aesthetics and creative imagination of "Game for Peace."
- Formula E Jaguar TCS Racing (Wind Hunter White)
Positioned as the base model vehicle, featuring an exclusive livery in black, white, and gold tones.
- Formula E Citroën Racing (Pioneer Red)
Positioned as the base model vehicle; as a newly joined Team for the 2025-26 season, it brings natural excitement for fans. The Pioneer Red livery stands out strikingly.
- Formula E Porsche Team (Storm Purple)
Positioned as the premium upgrade vehicle, featuring two exterior styles: Normal and Attack Mode. As a China fan-favorite Formula E team with outstanding on-track results, this will be a popular choice for players. - Formula E Maserati Team (Glint Blue)
Positioned as the premium upgrade vehicle, featuring two exterior styles: Normal and Attack Mode. As a luxury brand, the Glint Blue series exudes elegance and strength in every detail.
FORMULA E’S FUTURISTIC “ATTACK MODE” LANDS ON THE ISLAND
This collaboration not only introduces real Formula E race cars from the track onto the island, but also integrates the series' signature "ATTACK MODE", where drivers get additional power for a limited time by driving through an activation zone. The GEN3 Evo in-game vehicle series draws inspiration from the Championship’s ATTACK MODE, debuting the first active “ATTACK MODE vehicle skins” in the game. The Porsche and Maserati premium models feature localised, mechanical body transformations as separate ATTACK MODE skins, delivering exclusive dynamic light effects and custom racing soundtracks when switching to ATTACK MODE; the Jaguar and Citroën base models also come with exclusive effects and tailored soundscapes during ATTACK MODE activation.
To deliver the additional Porsche and Maserati ATTACK MODE skins to players in the game, both Teams will have energy stations as supply drops whilst on the island. These stations have a visual design inspired by Formula E’s on-track energy recharge stations, delivering players a playfully electric experience.
All six skins in the series are designed with reference to the Formula E GEN3 Evo car architecture, featuring dual-layer front wings, streamlined arrow-shaped bodies, open racing tyres, and X-shaped rear wings. Tencent LightSpeed Studios’ design team has incorporated a wealth of futuristic electric-tech custom components, faithfully replicating the original race car styling while crafting a sci-fi visual experience tailored for the game.

The collaboration will launch across the 2026 Shanghai E-Prix, which takes place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th of July. This summer, take the wheel of Formula E race cars and race across the island, charging towards your very own moment of glory. With the real-world action still unfolding in the final three events of the Formula E 2025-26 season, including the Shanghai, Tokyo and London E-Prix, a new racing battle is about to ignite on the island, with race fans and in-game drivers now able to experience the pinnacle of electric racing side-by-side.
