Felipe Drugovich to continue with Andretti into GEN4 era

Andretti become the first Formula E squad to confirm their line-up for the 2026/27 season, with both Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich set to continue with the team.

The Brazilian-born racer joined Andretti at the start of the 2025/26 season, having already made a name for himself in single seater racing as 2022 FIA Formula 2 champion, and reserve driver for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team (2022-25).

After a challenging start to the season, Drugovich has found his footing in recent rounds, scoring his first podium at the 2026 Monaco E-Prix. Starting fifth, his best qualifying result at that point in the season, he produced a calm and controlled drive around the principality. The podium marked an important turning point for the Andretti driver, after admitting in Berlin that he was still learning how to fully adapt to Formula E's all-electric machinery.

And now, heading into Shanghai, the rookie is currently the only driver on the grid to have finished in the top-10 in the last four races - quite the achievement!

For Andretti, maintaining stability in their driver line-up has been important, especially as the championship looks to enter unchartered territory with the start of the GEN4 era, Formula E's most exciting chapter yet.

Capable of reaching speeds in excess of 335kph, 0-100kph in approximately 1.8 seconds, and 0-200kph in just 4.4 seconds - 1.5 seconds faster than its predecessor -  GEN4 will deliver 50% more power in race mode than the current GEN3 Evo race car. The GEN4 car will be an average of 10 seconds faster per lap than the GEN3 car in qualifying mode. In ATTACK MODE, GEN4 produces up to 600kW of power, a 71% increase in base output over GEN3 Evo, delivering performance that pushes the limits of electric racing. GEN4 is the only single-seater race car with permanent all-wheel drive.
