The São-Paulo based charity will receive a €25,000 (equivalent to more than BRL 150,000) donation from Formula E Better Futures Fund, renewing and expanding support for its mission to advance educational equity, digital inclusion and environmental awareness in highly vulnerable communities through the launch of a new Literacy, Maths and Digital inclusion educational programme (Educa ViVA) and will also be used to fund 160 hours per month of support for core volunteer, fundraising and communications activities.
The initiative will directly support 30 children aged 7–14 and empower more than 100 family members across Jardim Peri and Brasilândia.
Over the next 12 months, the investment from Season 12 will deepen the organisation’s long-term impact by expanding tailored education pathways, reinforcing the community networks that sustain each child’s progress, and creating opportunities that help young people overcome systemic barriers.
Associação PiPA has a history of making an impact alongside Formula E, having been a Better Futures Fund recipient last year. This renewed commitment builds on their successful partnership, enabling expanded educational, socio-emotional, and community-focused initiatives across São Paulo, while continuing to empower children and adolescents in socially vulnerable communities.
This marks the first receipt of the Better Futures Fund for Season 12, following Formula E’s donation of over €350,000 across the last two seasons to charitable causes in the cities they race in, creating a lasting impact that extends well beyond race weekends.
The Fund, launched as part of Formula E's social impact strategy and celebrates local initiatives making a meaningful impact to empower communities, create inclusive opportunities and enable sustainable futures for all.
Julia Pallé, VP of Sustainability, Formula E, said: “We are thrilled to renew our partnership with the Formula E Better Futures Fund. Last season’s support strengthened our programmes and expanded opportunities for children and families in Jardim Peri and Brasilândia. This year, we go even further with the new Educa ViVA programme and essential support for our core operations. Race week continues to be a powerful moment for our community—seeing the children welcomed at the track and engaging with Formula E shows them that they belong in spaces of innovation and possibility.”
Daniel Mariano de Almeida, Diretor Social, Associação PiPA: “The support from the Formula E Better Futures Fund is transforming what’s possible for children and families in Jardim Peri and Brasilândia. These resources allow us to strengthen learning, expand digital access, and provide safe spaces where young people can grow with confidence. With this renewed funding, we can reach more children, engage families more deeply, and continue building long-lasting opportunities in communities that have historically been overlooked.”
