Rain poured down across Monte Carlo and threw qualifying up in the air amid the trickiest of conditions.
Rowland inheritied pole with the DS PENSKE pair of Jean-Eric Vergne and Maximilian Guenther failing to set lap times having slid across the Nouvelle Chicane.
RESULTS: 2025 Monaco E-Prix qualifying
Mahindra's Nyck de Vries wound up second after both he and Rowland pirouetted through the run off in their Semi-Final.
The DS pair of Guenther and Vergne followed with Stoffel Vandoorne (Maserati MSG Racing) and Antonio Felix da Costa (Porsche) sixth.
Dan Ticktum was next up but was left reeling as his car failed to enter four-wheel drive and full-power mode for the Duels. The Brit's been on form this weekend so far, and is overdue some luck.
Final
As no time was set by either DS PENSKE driver, Rowland found himself the polesitter.

Semis
Rowland versus de Vries for Semi-Final one. Both drivers went super deep into Turn 1, down the Sainte Devote runoff, requiring a quick pirouette.
The Brit kept his foot in though, knowing de Vries had made the same error, and he wound up through into the Final, 2.5 seconds clear.

The DS pair were next. Vergne and Guenher both skipped the chicane as the rain poured down ever more heavily. The margin was two seconds in favour of Vergne in the end, who progressed.
Quarters
Rowland squared off against da Costa in the first Quarter-Final following his win on the streets of Monte Carlo a day prior. Four-wheel drive and full power for the Duels, which should prove to help in the wet conditions.
The Nissan driver held the advantage through all three Sectors to steer to a huge 1.4 second margin over the lap on the Portuguese.
Ticktum then faced de Vries. Both went well on Saturday and it was the Mahindra driver, who made the podium who strode to an immediate advantage of 1.5 seconds over Sector 1. A mistake at the chicane made it a formality for the 2020/21 champion. It transpired that Ticktum was forced into driving at 300kW and without four-wheel drive. Not helpful.

Vandoorne and Vergne were next. The Frenchman fired to a 0.5 second-wide margin at the half way stage of the lap as Vandoorne made a hash of Turn 1. The Maserati MSG Racing driver clawed back some ground briefly but Vergne was able to beat him by 0.8 seconds at the line, despite hitting the wall at Tabac.
Guenther was wide into Casino Square as he faced Buemi but the DS PENSKE driver looked to have carried more speed and was edging Buemi's time into the chicane. Guenther crossed the line ahead on the timesheets but a trip across the runoff at Swimming Pool saw his lap deleted. Buemi's was also deleted as he skipped the chicane but the former progresses as his lap was quicker.
Group A
The heavens opened ahead of qualifying with plenty of standing water on the streets of Monaco for the drivers to contend with - catching Round 6 winner Rowland among others.

As the time ticked away, it was four of the form drivers from yesterday that made it through with de Vrie heading da Costa on a 1m55.385s, Rowland and Ticktum.
Group B
Conditions weren't much better for Group B's running, despite the rain stopping in the interim.
Sam Bird was caught out into Sainte Devote - the NEOM McLaren driver shunting heavily into the Tecpro barriers.

Times were slightly under Group A's as the session went green again. Experience told with two-time Monaco winner Sebastien Buemi (Envision Racing) topping the times from Jean-Eric Vergne (DS PENSKE), Stoffel Vandoorne (Maserati MSG Racing) and Maximilian Guenther (DS PENSKE).
