FP1: De Vries tops opening session in Monaco

Reigning champion Nyck de Vries set the pace in the opening session of the 2022 Monaco E-Prix with a 1m31.154s good enough for top spot in Free Practice 1.

The Mercedes-EQ driver fired in a late 250kW, full power lap to top the timesheets with Nick Cassidy (Envision Racing) going well and just a tenth of-a-second shy of the Dutchman's lap time.

Nissan e.dams' Sebastien Buemi fired fifth, Porsche's Andre Lotterer sixth, Jaguar TCS Racing driver Sam Bird seventh and current standings leader Jean-Eric Vergne (DS TECHEETAH) down in eighth.
