Antonio Felix da Costa's dominant Drivers' Championship triumph in the 2019/20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship was recognised yesterday evening at the virtual FIA Prize-Giving.
Formula E's Nicki Shields and Le Mans 24 Hours legend Tom Kristensen fronted the event which celebrated the best of the action across the FIA's motorsport championships in 2020, as well as their respective champions.

FIA President Jean Todt invited the winners along on behalf of the Senate and joint World Councils of the governing body to formally crown the title-winners.
Da Costa sealed the honours at Formula E's unprecedented nine-day six-race season finale, after a record-equalling three-win streak between Round 5 in Marrakesh and Round 7 in Berlin as the Portugese flew out of the blocks at Berlin's Tempelhof Airport.
That made it three back-to-back Drivers' crowns and two Teams' titles now for DS TECHEETAH and Da Costa returns with teammate and double champion Jean-Eric Vergne for Season 7 - Formula E's first campaign as an FIA World Championship.
"A massive thank you to everyone for their support this year," said Da Costa. "To my team on and off the race-track, you guys are amazing. I will never take these moments for granted. I know how much hard work has to be put in for these glory days to come by.
"Thank you also to the FIA, Jean Todt and the safety team for putting on great championships and great racing for us all, and for looking after us.
"Lastly, to my opponents: thank you for pushing me. Here's to many more hard but fair fights and many happy returns over the festive season to everybody!"
“2020 has been an unprecedented year and it’s remarkable to be here and to be able to honour our champions,” said FIA President Jean Todt. “Unfortunately, they cannot be with us in person tonight, but the most important thing is that, through creativity and resourcefulness, we have been able to organize championships – and we have champions to celebrate. I would like to pay credit to all those who made it possible.”
