Jaguar TCS Racing’s Mitch Evans was quickest in Free Practice 3, setting a time of 1m26.614s as spots of rain fell during the session. Evans won here last year, and yesterday’s race marked the first time in four races here that he’d missed out on the podium.
Just behind the Jag was Jake Dennis for Andretti, with the Brit finishing 0.036s behind. Dennis, fresh from his first podium in over a year yesterday, will be looking to make it double the silverware for today’s Monaco E-Prix that starts at 15:00 local time. They were both joined in the top three by Nyck de Vries, who also got Mahindra Racing’s first podium since Mexico City in 2023.
Reigning World Champion Pascal Wehrlien finished FP3 in fourth for TAG Heuer Porsche, with Edoardo Mortara fifth for Mahindra. Nick Cassidy had a good start to race with Jaguar to classify sixth, with Maximilian Guenther seventh for DS PENSKE. Stoffel Vandoorne was eighth for home team Maserati MSG Racing, with Nissan’s Norman Nato and NEOM McLaren’s Sam Bird rounding out the top 10.
Yesterday’s race winner, Oliver Rowland, finished the session in 11th after continuing to complain about strange noises from his car – something that has been happening since his crash in qualifying yesterday.
As It Happened…
As light rain sprinkled in the pit lane, the 40 minute practice session got underway.
Rowland was complaining of a mysterious noise at the rear of his Nissan, something that he had trouble with yesterday after a crash in qualifying. The team confirmed they had changed the parts, so there shouldn’t be an issue, but it is something to keep an eye on across race day.

The Round 6 winner around the Principality yesterday also had a little off, locking up and going straight down at St Devote.
Envision Racing’s Robin Frijns made contact with the Lola Yamaha ABT of Zane Maloney just under 15 minutes into the session, with the latter on a quick lap. Frijns was slower on the racing line at the entry to the Swimming Pool Complex, which left Maloney no space to get past.
The two clipped one another, but Managing Director Sylvain Filippi at Envision explained they couldn't give Robin a heads up as Maloney’s car “didn’t exist on their GPS system”.

As the session drew to a close, CUPRA KIRO’s Dan Ticktum suffered an error with the car which resulted in a red flag as he came to a stop at Rascasse. Ticktum, who has been on fantastic form this weekend, had a moment with his car going through the Swimming Pool and a ‘crash’ error message displayed on his steering wheel.
Ticktum sounded cautious that his car would be ready for qualifying, which gets underway at 10:40 local time.
