For the win
Berlin is the home of the grand slam - a driver picking up pole, fastest lap, leading every lap and winning the race - only three drivers have managed this accolade and it's happened here on two occasions - the first was former Formula E driver turned pundit Daniel Abt and the second was Antonio Felix da Costa.
The Portuguese driver was unstoppable around here in a championship winning performance back in Season 6. He unlocked his victory account with TAG Heuer Porsche with an emphatic win from a stunning overtake in Cape Town, and was looking strong at repeating that performance last time out in Sao Paulo - until an error put him out of contention.
His confidence is growing, and there's shades of his title winning run from three seasons ago. Da Costa is also one of only three drivers to have claimed two wins, he got two on the bounce from that aforementioned title run.
The other pair who have found success in Berlin are Lucas di Grassi (Mahindra Racing) and Sebastien Buemi (Envision Racing). Di Grassi would have three, but a penalty saw the Brazilian lose the honour of winning the first Formula E race in Berlin.
Podium potentials
When it comes to podiums, Buemi and di Grassi tied with six podiums in Berlin - the most by any driver at a single venue. Buemi still has the status of being the highest placed driver in the standings without a podium finish.
The Swiss driver has been close to ending this, but we arrive a good track for him break his 37-race podium drought as former champ's last three Formula E podium finishes came in the Berlin races in 2020.
It's a home race for Andre Lotterer (Avalanche Andretti), Rene Rast (NEOM McLaren), Maximilian Guenther (Maserati MSG) and championship leader Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche), all but Wehrlein have experienced home podiums with Guenther reaching the top step in 2020.
One-lap pace
Last season, Maserati MSG's Edoardo Mortara completed a clean-sweep of poles in Berlin. The Swiss-Italian-French driver has had an unlucky time so far this season, and has yet to capitalise on that race-winning prowess that took him to four victories last season.
Mortara has four DNFs from the last six races, and in Berlin he's had it tough with that major but then there was the success glory from those poles last season with a victory and a second placed finish.
