From Formula E's five races in Diriyah, three of the wins came from straight from the Julius Baer Pole Position. With the new knockout qualifying format, this will be another hotly contested bit of real estate on the starting grid.

Jaguar TCS Racing'sSam Bird has the most success around the Saudi Arabian streets with two wins here. He kicked off his relationship with the legendary British marque in fine form last season, scoring a debut win for the big cat in only the second time of asking - and keeping his claim on being the only driver to score a victory in every Formula E season to date.
Reigning Teams' champions, Mercedes-EQ have had some good showings in Diriyah, Stoffel Vandoorne is the next best around the UNESCO historic site that makes up the circuit. The Belgian has two podium finishes from the German marque's debut season proper in 2019/20 with a second and third.
His FIA World Champion teammate, Nyck de Vries set off on a speedy march for his championship winning campaign last season with a stunning drive in Formula E's first night race. The Dutchman got a clean sweep, topping every session and scoring pole before flying to the top step of the podium in the opening race.
The aforementioned Bird and Sebastien Buemi are currently the only drivers to win the season opener on more than one occasion, could the reigning Drivers' champion add his name to this list on Friday?
While De Vries demonstrated the power of pole position last season with that storming victory, it is Alexander Sims who has started at the front of the pack the most in Diriyah. He may be a bit of a wildcard choice, but the Mahindra Racing driver did claim two on the bounce in Season 6.
Another wildcard shot for the predictor line-ups this weekend is Edoardo Mortara. The Swiss-Italian was on shining form under the spotlights and drove an emphatic race to finish second in the ROKiT Venturi Racing's customer Mercedes-EQ Silver Arrow 02.
