New York race start moves to 1pm on Sunday

New York race start moves to 1pm on Sunday

The second race of the double-header weekend in New York will start at the earlier time of 1pm on Sunday, July 16.

The adjustment to the timetable means that viewers across America will be able to watch round 10 of the FIA Formula E Championship live on FOX Broadcast. The schedule on Saturday remains unchanged with the race getting underway at 4pm (local time).

Formula E is making its first visit to Brooklyn on July 15 and 16 for the inaugural Qualcomm New York City ePrix, against the backdrop of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty.

Fans will be able to watch electrifying wheel-to-wheel racing over the course of two days at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook - with additional on-track offerings and entertainment after the chequered flag falls on Sunday.

The action doesn’t stop following the Mumm champagne celebrations on the podium - fans will also be treated to some of the best drone racing on offer, with competitors tackling the Brooklyn Circuit only metres above the ground on Sunday afternoon.

In addition to the activities on-track and in the Allianz eVillage fan zone, New Yorkers and Brooklyn residents will get the chance to navigate the track with their own electric-powered method of transportation at 9:25am on Saturday - whether it’s the latest electric road vehicle or other two-wheel tech… come down to Brooklyn!
