A tough day for the Renault e.dams team has been made tougher with the confirmation that Sebastien Buemi will have a 10-place grid penalty for this afternoon’s Hydrto-Quebec Montreal ePrix.
However, the bad news doesn’t stop there, as it was discovered in post-qualifying checks that Nico Prost’s car was underweight and his Super Pole times have been disqualified. He will start the race from fourth.
Buemi’s penalty follows a huge crash in the second qualifying session. Each team is allowed one ‘joker’ battery change per season, Buemi played this card in Berlin and thus must take a 10-place drop, so he will start from 12th.
