TVNZ renews Formula E deal

Calling all TV viewers and Formula E fans in New Zealand - listen up - because we've got some good news for you as today TVNZ renewed its agreement to broadcast the FIA Formula E Championship for Season Four.

With all the action free-to-air on TVNZ 1, TVNZ DUKE and TVNZ OnDemand, viewers will be able to follow New Zealander Mitch Evans as he vies for his first podium finish with Panasonic Jaguar Racing. "It’s fantastic to see my home nation getting behind Formula E. It’s growing quickly, and it's great that New Zealand will be able to get behind the sport and the Panasonic Jaguar Racing team," said Evans.

The first two rounds of the 2017/18 season spark into life in Hong Kong and will air on TVNZ 1 and DUKE on December 2 & 3. Racing will continue in prime time and daytime slots on DUKE. TVNZ OnDemand will live stream races and also host additional highlights and content, showcasing a cross-platform commitment to Formula E. "We know that New Zealanders are passionate about live sport and we’re excited to bring racing fans the Formula E championship again this year - fully free-to-air," said Cate Slater, TVNZ Director of Content.

With Season Four starting in less than two weeks with a double-header in Hong Kong on December 2 and 3, it's all to play for as we embark upon a brand new season of all-electric street racing. Where will you be watching? Click here for ticket information and here for our global broadcast guide.
