Coronavirus has already had a huge impact on the lives of children, with a staggering 1.5 billion children missing out on education due to school closures. By joining forces, Formula E and UNICEF are focusing on keeping children around the world healthy and ensuring they aren't missing out on vital education in the face of coronavirus.
This situation is unlike anything the world has ever known, and work is already being done to help children and young people around the world with their health, mental well-being and lost education opportunities. Funds are being directed towards projects to support remote learning programmes and supply essential protective equipment for hospital staff and care workers on the frontline.
Like UNICEF, Formula E has a vision of a brighter future for children and young people, growing up on a cleaner and safer planet. As a global sport with a purpose to counteract climate change by accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles, Formula E is naturally placed to use its platforms to raise awareness of UNICEF’s work to protect children against the effects of coronavirus.
Your donation will help limit the impact that coronavirus has had on the lives of children and their families.
So far the initiative has been running education on handwashing, along with providing essential supplies to health workers, including surgical gloves, soap and clean water facilities.
All the funds raised will go far to expanding UNICEF's reach, especially in country's that have weaker health care systems.
