The ABB FIA Formula E championship returns this weekend, as all 11 get ready for lights out in Mexico City on January 13. The grid has had an almighty shake up, and drivers are now getting to grips with the incredible GEN3 machines after they made their debut in Season 9.

The Hankook Mexico City E-Prix always delivers exciting racing actions, with most drivers loving the challenge the 2.63km track brings. However, one team which fans will be watching closely is Jaguar TCS Racing.

Celebrating their eighth season in Formula E this year, the manufacturer has a new driver pairing of Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy. Both drivers have proven themselves to be some of the best talent on the grid, and this year will go up against each other in equal machinery.

“Heading into my eighth season with Jaguar TCS Racing, I’m excited to get back onto the track to start our 2024 campaign in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship,” Evans said ahead of the first race of Season 10. “Last season we came so close to becoming World Champions – we are ready to give it everything in Mexico City and will come out fighting.”

During Valencia’s pre-season testing last year, both Jaguar drivers came out on top - finishing the week with the first and second fastest times. It was Evans who was quicker with a 1m24.474s, but Cassidy was not far behind with a 1m24.617s in his Jaguar I-TYPE 6.

"Our sights and focus are now firmly on the upcoming season, where we will be working as hard as we can to clinch the Teams' World Championship title,” Team Boss James Barclay added before the new season gets underway.

“Nick has settled into the team very well, with both him and Mitch showing great pace in Valencia. We will be looking, as everyone is, to start the season off at the Mexico City E-Prix in the best possible way with a strong points-finish but we never underestimate the competition in Formula E. The team have been working tirelessly on and off the track to ensure we are prepared for lights out on Saturday.”

Cassidy departed Jaguar’s customer team Envision Racing after finishing Vice Champion during the 2022/23 season, and as expected has been keeping busy learning the ropes of his new racing outfit.

MEET THE GRID: WHICH DRIVERS ARE RACING IN FORMULA E IN 2023/24?

“After months of preparation and getting to know my new team, I can’t wait to compete in my first race for Jaguar TCS Racing,” Cassidy stated. “Mexico is a fast, challenging track but one we all look forward to as drivers. We are looking to start the season with the strongest possible result, to kick off our 2024 World Championship campaigns in the best way.”
