About the ABB FIA Formula E Championship
The ABB FIA Formula E Championship is the closest, most intense racing series on the planet. With 11 teams and 22 all-electric single seater cars, we bring wheel-to-wheel racing to the streets of some of the world’s most progressive cities over the course of our seven month championship season.
But we're is far more than a global street racing championship. The series serves as a platform to showcase and develop the very latest innovations in electric vehicle technology and alternative energy solutions. What you see racing on the city streets will, in time, filter down through the teams and manufacturers to everyday electric road vehicles, improving lives and, crucially, the air that we breathe.
The 2018/19 season of the championship will see 11 teams and 22 drivers take to the streets of 12 cities across five continents in a bid to be crowned champion. Making its debut in the Middle East on December 15 for the season-opener in Ad Diriyah, Formula E will once again coming to a close in New York City for the double-header season finale on July 13 & 14.
