Formula E debutant Marco Andretti believes ‘adapting’ will be the key to ensuring a strong result for the Andretti team during tomorrow’s Buenos Aires ePrix.
The nine-year veteran of the Verizon IndyCar Series will line-up alongside Jean-Eric Vergne for the fourth round of the FIA Formula E Championship.
Speaking at the pre-race press conference about his approach to the new series, the 27-year-old said: “I can’t really take my time learning [the car] as it’s a one-day event – I’m going into it very open minded. Adapting is the word of the weekend for sure.
“I’ve been bouncing a lot of Jean-Eric Vergne because he adapted quite well in his first race. The goal is to be competitive and hopefully we can do that and put on a good show and to have a good race for the team.”
Commenting on the 2.407km, 12-turn Puerto Madero circuit Andretti added: “It’s gonna be fun. It definitely has a great mix of corners’ and some fast ones too. I’m not really sure how these kerbs are handling yet and won’t until I get out there but there’s a lot of great passing zones which should lead to a heck of a show.”
The Formula E Buenos Aires ePrix gets underway from 08:15 (local time) with the first practice session. Full coverage will be available via the official website and Formula E app.
