Vergne and DS Techeetah scoop Championship awards at FIA Prize-Giving

Rounding off an epic year of motorsport action, DS Techeetah's Team Principal Mark Preston and reigning ABB FIA Formula E Champion Jean-Eric Vergne scooped both championship awards at the FIA's annual Prize-Giving ceremony at the iconic Louvre museum in Paris.

Held each year, the FIA's Prize Giving Ceremony is one of the highlights of the world motor sport calendar, gathering the Federation's championship-winning drivers and teams to celebrate their successful seasons. This year, 2019’s top performers - including back-to-back ABB FIA Formula E Champion Jean-Eric Vergne - came together in Paris, France, for a unique ceremony at the world-famous Louvre museum.

Alongside the reigning champ, DS Techeetah's Team Principal Mark Preston collected the Teams' championship award after the Franco-Chinese clinched the top spot in the 2018/19 season finale in New York City. Collecting prizes for their efforts outside of Formula E were Mercedes-Benz EQ rookie Nyck de Vries, after the Dutchman clinched the F2 Championship title earlier in the year, and Nissan e.dams' Sebastian Buemi for his Championship winning drive in World Endurance Car.
