Evans sets the pace in Paris ahead of Qualifying

Evans sets the pace in Paris ahead of Qualifying

Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver and Rome race winner Mitch Evans went fastest in Practice 2 ahead of Qualifying after setting a new course record of 1:00.226s. The Kiwi driver was followed by Nissan e.dams' Oliver Rowland with a time of 1:00.329s and previous Paris record holder Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler) with a 1:00.368s lap. With 18 out of 22 cars all within a second of each other, expect more close racing here in Les Invalides.

Following a troublesome session earlier in the morning, Envision Virgin Racing's Sam Bird remained in the garage for the second practice after the team were unable to repair the British driver's car. With track temperatures rising (albeit still a cool 14 degrees celsius), lap times started to tumble as Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler driver Lucas di Grassi's record topped by Evans.
