We are pioneering the global adoption of clean mobility through enhancing technologies, improving infrastructure and raising awareness. Formula E is a global platform, connecting online, on television and in-person with fans and audiences from around the world to raise awareness on the benefits of electric vehicles, inspiring people to drive electric. Through our platforms, we reach hundreds of millions of people.
We are at a critical point in our history. Seven million people die from air pollution every year, making it the greatest environmental threat to health today. Urban air pollution is increasing by eight per cent every five years, and 95 per cent of cities worldwide do not meet the guidelines established by the World Health Organization, and the United Nations’ Sixth Global Environmental Outlook predicts that air pollution will likely worsen due to rapid development and urbanisation.
The global transport sector accounts for almost a quarter of energy-related carbon dioxide emissions. Air pollution emissions from transport have been linked to nearly 400,000 premature deaths. Almost half of all deaths by air pollution from transport are caused by diesel emissions, while those living closest to major traffic arteries are up to 12 per cent more likely to be diagnosed with dementia.

In September 2019 we participated in Climate Week NYC which brought together all those fighting to tackle climate change to inspire participation and action. Formula E champion and Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler driver Lucas di Grassi did a keynote speech on the topic of electric mobility, emphasising the role of Formula E in the transformation of mobility.
We also partner with various organisations and use our global platform to raise awareness of key environmental issues, showcased in several campaigns and documentaries including:
