The Formula E race calendar has taken us to numerous host cities across Europe since our inaugural season. Unlike the remainder of the calendar, carbon credits don’t exist in Europe and so we invest in Guarantee of Origin (GoO) renewable energy certificates (or equivalent) for all Scope 2 emissions consumed by the championship to make a positive impact locally and increase the market momentum for renewable energies. The use of renewable energy certificates contributes directly to 2 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (7, 13).
