PREVIEW: The Formula E: Accelerate Finals

Accelerate Championship Final: Saturday, 2pm BST

On the Accelerate Stage in the Fan Village, 11 of the world's best sim racers will be competing for each of the Formula E teams in the Accelerate Championship Final.

€20,000 EUR is up for grabs, with €20,000 EUR having already been distributed across the Berlin and Rome Majors, all prior online races have been qualification events for the London Final so all 11 drivers have a clean slate when it comes to points coming into this event.

Racers will compete on the virtual ExCeL Circuit in its Season 7 layout, across a Formula E-style qualifying session with Groups and head-to-head Duels before taking part in two races. The first is a sprint-style race called the ‘Charge Race’ where the grid is reversed, and the second is a full Formula E race. ATTACK MODE is enabled in both encounters.

Can anyone stop reigning champ Frede Rasmussen?

The undisputed champion of Formula E: Accelerate, Frede Rasmussen dominated the proceedings in the London Grand Final in 2022, taking a double victory and the maximum points haul to lift the trophy for the second season in succession. Frede bought a flat with his winnings from the inaugural season of Formula E: Accelerate, and joked that he was looking to invest in that property last year, will 2023 bring further renovations to the Dane's home?

Accelerate AMPED Final: Sunday, 2pm BST

On the Accelerate Stage in the Fan Village, 11 influencers will be compete on behalf of our Formula E teams in the Accelerate AMPED Final, aiming to help their sim racing counterparts take home the Accelerate Teams' title for bragging rights.

This is the culmination of competition across Berlin and Rome where these influencers experienced Formula E’s hospitality with access to team’s garages, engineers and in some cases drivers.

Again, it will all be streamed LIVE over on Formula E’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, with Driver61 once again the host.
