Reigning champion JEV sets the pace ahead of Qualifying in Rome

Reigning champion and DS Techeetah driver Jean-Eric Vergne set the pace in Practice 2 with a time of 1:29.370s, faster than Nissan e.dams Oliver Rowland's time of 1:29.738s, set during the first practice session of the day. Following Vergne were Championship leader Antonio Felix da Costa (BMW i Andretti Motorsport) and Nissan e.dams Sebastien Buemi, who set the third fastest time in the session. 

With six cars setting lap times under 1:30.000s, the competition is hotting up here in Rome as we approach Qualifying at 11:45 (local time). Tune in to all the action here

Halfway through the session, Geox Dragon's Jose-Maria Lopez ploughed into the chicane on Turn 21, damaging the front of his car. Stopped on track, the red flag brought the session to a halt temporarily while Lopez's car was recovered. With a total of 21 turns, the Rome track is not only one of the longest but also one of the most testing in the Formula E calendar.
