2023 Hankook Mexico City E-Prix - ABB FIA Formula E World Championship

Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez

Created for the arrival of Formula E in 2016, the track makes use of the legendary Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit. With race-ready surface and long corners, Mexico City is not only one of the fastest tracks on the calendar, it's also the highest at 2,250m above sea level.

The track layout for the Mexico City E-Prix features a mix of long and fast straights and a technical infield section through the legendary Foro Sol stadium.

Starting on the traditional start/finish straight, the Formula E grid will shoot down into turn one - home to some brave late-braking manoeuvres. After a long and fast Turn 2, the pack will make their way around Turn 3, which breaks off left into a four turn sequence.

Looping back around a hairpin, Turns 6 and 7 get technical, with a straight and sharp right-hand bend leading into new chicane complex for a quick blast into the legendary Foro Sol stadium section. Leaving the stadium the drivers will then jostle for position out of the iconic Peraltada curve in the run to the finish line.

Witness the start of Formula E's new era: Gen3

For the first time in Formula E's history, Mexico City will host the opening round of the championship as we return to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez for the start of Season 9 and the beginning of the Gen3 era.

Formula E always brings a fiesta to the Foro Sol, with electrifying entertainment as the drivers battle wheel-to-wheel. It's also the beginning of a new era of all-electric street racing with the debut of the radical all-new Gen3 machine - the fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric race car ever built.

Meet your heroes in the pit lane walk

Meet your all-electric racing heroes and peek into team garages at the Autograph Pit Lane Walk! Secure your spot for this unique experience by collecting a wristband from the Collection Point in the Allianz Fan Village (available from 7am on a first-come, first-served basis). Please note there is extremely limited capacity, so arrive early for your best chance. From 11:00 - Fans with wristbands meet at Holding Area for the pit lane walk between 11:30-12:15 (last entry at 12:00).

Show your support for your favourite teams and drivers with the return of the Fan Store to Mexico City, or get race ready with Formula E's brand new merch! Find the Fan Store in the Allianz Fan Village to get kitted out - just in time to get signed by the drivers at the Autograph Pit Lane Walk!

Cashless payments to speed up your race day

To make your race day experience easier, all bars and food stalls will be accepting cashless payments only, via a bracelet that can be collected once at the track.

STEP 1 Go to any Cashless top up station within the venue to obtain your bracelet.

STEP 2 Load your bracelet in the top up station, paying the amount you want, using your debit card, credit card or cash.

STEP 3 Enjoy your food and drink in the Allianz Fan Village. Be sure to check your balance after each transaction.

STEP 4 Refund the balance of your bracelet that you don't use, requesting it online, via the refund section. Very limited cash refunds can be made at the venue.

*Please note, whilst bars and food stalls will operate on a cashless basis, the Fan Store is an exception to this and will only accept debit, credit or cash.

Location

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship is returning Mexico City's Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez for the seventh time, located in the southeast of the Mexican capital.

The Metro and Metrobus station 'Ciudad Deportiva' (Line 9) is located just outside Gate 6. Velódromo and Puebla stations (Line 9) are also within walking distance of the circuit. Vehicle parking is available at a cost but subject to availability, with entrance to the parking via Gate 9.
