The Envision Racing team has been a part of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for over a decade now. Currently the Team Champions, the Silvertsone-based squad is preparing for the tenth season of the electric racing series with their drivers Sebastien Buemi and Robin Frijns. They’ve won E-Prix in all but one season, and despite a few name changes and new liveries, have remained a key part of Formula E’s history.

Here are all the times they stood on the top step of the podium over the last decade!

Win #1: 2014 Putrajaya E-Prix (Sam Bird)

Then named Virgin Racing, Sam Bird won the second race of the championship for the team in Malaysia.

Win #2: 2015 London E-Prix (Sam Bird)

Another win in Season 1 came thanks to Sam Bird again. He joined an exclusive club of Formula E drivers to win on home soil.

Win #3: 2016 Buenos Aires E-Prix (Sam Bird)

Now in Season 2, Bird made it a hat-trick of wins for the team. They finished the championship in third that year.

Win #4 and #5: 2017 New York City E-Prix (Sam Bird)

During Formula E’s first visit to New York, Bird claimed victory at both races over the double-header weekend. Bird’s rookie teammate, Alex Lynn, also took pole position for his first-ever Formula E race.

Win #6: 2017 Hong Kong E-Prix (Sam Bird)

Bird started the season strong, winning the first race of Season 4 in Hong Kong.

Win #7: 2018 Rome E-Prix (Sam Bird)

Formula E’s first visit to Rome was a hit, with an unpredictable race that Bird left victorious.

Win #8: 2019 Santiago E-Prix (Sam Bird)

Another season and another win for Sam Bird. The team, then known as Envision Virgin Racing, found a new line-up for Season; introducing Dutchman Robin Frijns.

Win #9: 2019 Paris E-Prix (Robin Frijns)

Frijns claimed his maiden Formula E win during a crazy wet race – the first in the championship’s history. Regarded as one of the best races ever, Frijns navigated the challenging conditions to become the second different winner for the team.

Win #10: 2019 New York City E-Prix (Robin Frijns)

A second win of the season for Frijns. This was also the last race of the year, with Envision Virgin Racing ending up third in the Teams’ Standings for a second consecutive year.

Win #11: 2019 Diriyah E-Prix (Sam Bird)

The first round of Season 6 went to Bird and the Envision Virgin Racing team, who won the second running of the Saudi Arabian race. This was to be Bird’s last win with the team, as he moved to Jaguar TCS Racing and is now with NEOM McLaren.

Win #12: 2022 New York City E-Prix (Nick Cassidy)

Formula E returned to the Brooklyn Street Circuit, and this time Kiwi Nick Cassidy took the win for the rebranded Envision Racing team. Now with their familiar bright green livery, Cassidy secured his maiden Formula E victory after the race was red-flagged after a sudden downpour!

Win #13: 2023 Berlin E-Prix (Nick Cassidy)

The first win of a dominant Season 9, Cassidy managed to perform a strategic masterclass to emerge on top – the first of many genius displays from the Envision driver.

Win #14: 2023 Monaco E-Prix (Nick Cassidy)

They say Monaco is the one race everybody wants to win, and 2023’s honour went to Cassidy. Despite a wobbly start to the day’s running, the Kiwi started the race ninth on the grid but converted it into his second victory of the year.

Win #15: 2023 Portland E-Prix (Nick Cassidy)

Cassidy left Formula E’s first visit to Portland with the winning trophy, after another masterclass in strategy during Formula E’s GEN3 era.

Win #16: 2023 London E-Prix (Nick Cassidy)

Despite just missing out on the Drivers’ Title the day before, Cassidy was able to end Season 9 in style as he lifted the winning trophy in London and helped Envision earn their first ever Teams’ Championship.
