DS TECHEETAH and Antonio Felix da Costa celebrate Formula E titles at Lisbon roadshow

DS TECHEETAH and ABB FIA Formula E Drivers' Champion Antonio Felix da Costa celebrated their titles by bringing the DS E-TENSE FE20 to the Portuguese people in the heart of Lisbon this weekend.

Da Costa steered right through the city centre and around 20 kilometres of the capital's streets on Saturday, in a celebratory outing in-front of his compatriots.

Fans were able to get up close and personal with the all-electric, open-wheel Gen2 Formula E car that stormed to four victories in 2019/20 and top honours in the Teams' and Drivers' standings for the second consecutive season.

The event also highlighted DS Automobiles' strong commitment to the most sustainable motorsport championship in the world, and its continuing drive to place electrification at the heart of its line-up of road cars including the DS 3 and DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE - both class leaders thanks to experience and technical knowledge gained on-track.

The route took the E-TENSE FE20 through all the major locales in the city - one of Europe's most recognisable, and familiar surroundings for Cascais-born da Costa, who grew up in the region.

Starting next to the Museu dos Coches in Belem - where da Costa was recently awarded an Order of Merit by Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa - the route ran through Avenida 24 de Julho, Praca do Comercio, Rua da Prata, Rossio, Restauradores, Avenida da Liberdade and Rotunda Marques de Pombal.

The car eventually made its way back to the museum where it started, completing the whole loop in reverse over cobbled streets and right past fans, shoppers and locals amid the usual weekend traffic.

Of course, there was also plenty of time for donuts...
