Touring the world with the championship, and rocking the Allianz E-Village, EJ plays hi-octane sets adding to the incredible race spectacle that takes place on the street circuits.
His vision is to infuse his performances with the same thrills of watching live race for a truly immersive experience, and keeping this ethos at his core is what makes EJ one of the most exciting acts around.
Allianz' Innovation Partnership with Formula E forms a key part of the insurance firm's Global Explorer Program - a series of global and local partnerships which have connected with some 350,000 people in the last year alone.
The program calls out to curious minds around the world to explore, connect and share how disruptive technologies can drive the future and a more sustainable way of life.
The Allianz E-Village is home to the championship's partners, with a range of displays showcasing first-hand the possibilites opened up by innovative, groundbreaking sustainable tech.
The Allianz E-Village Hydration Station and its water pouches were introduced in season five, to battle the increasing implementation of single-use plastics, with a focus on how the electric street racing series can reduce its own waste and offer free accessible water to fans across the site in the process.
Thanks to Formula E’s Official Innovation Partner Allianz, the initiative has saved the equivalent of 300,000 single-use plastic bottles of 330ml over the last two seasons.
The 100% recyclable pouches can be reused not just at the event, but taken home for further use, and reflect the joint mission of both companies to battle the issues of climate change that cities in which we live in today are facing.
Formula E and the Allianz E-Village partnered with GREENTECH to launch the first GREENTECH EXHIBITION inspired by Allianz E-Village - the largest green technology exhibition to date with some 30,000 visitors - debuting at the BMW i Berlin E-Prix presented by CBMM Niobium in 2019.
The dedicated fan zone was re-titled the GREENTECH EXHIBITION inspired by Allianz E-Village for the E-Prix, to give fans of all ages an opportunity to understand the small changes you can make in your lifestyle which can make a global impact.
Nico Rosberg, investor and shareholder of Formula E, said: "Especially in the automotive industry, there're not only high technical and performance-driven requirements these days.
"Many companies have long been following the important shift towards green technologies. But this development will only be implemented if all of us support this movement - that's why I fight for it."
Andreas Scheuer, patron of the inaugural GREENTECH FESTIVAL, said at the time: “From car sharing and carpooling, to air taxis and e-scooters, the GREENTECH FESTIVAL allows you to already today experience our world of tomorrow.
"As its patron, I’m extremely pleased that we’re bringing these ideas to the public, while together discussing what is to come and how we’ll handle it.”
