Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara was the quickest man on track in FP2, closely followed by the Porsche of Pascal Wehrlein and his teammate Nico Müller. Taylor Barnard was quick again for DS PENSKE with Mitch Evans rounding out the top five for Jaguar TCS Racing.
This was the final session before qualifying gets underway, with nine drivers in contention for the Drivers’ World Championship in the final race weekend for the GEN3 era.
As it happened...
It was a clear session to start, with the grid getting the final laps in ahead of qualifying later today. Jake Dennis set the early pace, a similar trend to yesterday’s session, with the Briton looking to repeat his World Championship success here in the 2022/23 season.
One of his drivers’ title rivals, Oliver Rowland, clipped the wall during one of his laps and damaged his steering slightly but was able to get it amended by his Nissan team and was soon back out getting laps in. The reigning champ hasn’t had the best of results here – apart from an anomaly win here in 2024 – but will need to change that to take back-to-back titles.
Nico Müller received a black and white flag for driving standards at Turn 20, after weaving down the start-finish straight in his Porsche and almost collecting one of the Nissans. His Porsche teammate was also being investigated making contact with Felipe Drugovich towards the end of the session, with no damage to either cars and Drugovich later given a black and white flag.
With five minutes on the clock it was Edoardo Mortara who was top, with the Mahindra Racing driver also looking competitive alongside his teammate Nyck de Vries yesterday.

It all comes down to this. After a season of nail-biting drama, the fight for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship heads to London for a season-ending double-header on the world’s only indoor/outdoor circuit.
With just two races remaining in the GEN3 era, nine drivers still in mathematical title contention, and the crown on the line, there’s zero margin for error at the London ExCeL.
