Sébastien Buemi and Joel Eriksson to leave Envision Racing

The news comes ahead of the final rounds of the 2025/26 season at the London Excel, with the Envision squad entering the weekend 7th in the Teams' Championship.

2015/16 Formula E champion, Sébastien Buemi, joined the British outfit at the start of the GEN3 era, bringing with him considerable experience and one of the most impressive stats sheets in the Formula E paddock. Despite not being able to replicate his title winning ways from seasons past, the Swiss driver still managed to achieve at least one podium per season - his best result with the team being victory at the 2025 Monaco E-Prix.

This season, Buemi was joined in the Envision driver line-up by Formula E rookie, Joel Eriksson. Despite being a newcomer to the championship, the Swedish-born racer has quietly put together a respectable points haul this season, even achieving a podium at the 2026 Shanghai E-Prix, Round 13.

Today's news results in two available seats at one of Formula E's oldest teams, with Envision Racing yet to reveal who will make up their all-new driver line-up for the 2026/27 season - the first of the GEN4 era.

It all comes down to this. After a season of nail-biting drama, the fight for the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship heads to London for a season-ending double-header on the world’s only indoor/outdoor circuit.
