ExCeL Circuit

The ExCeL Circuit starts off indoors on a silky-smooth surface offering bags of grip, and after a quick succession of the corners the pack heads outside, Immediately on exit they will touch a strip of slippy metal, before heading down into the outdoor portion with the highly abrasive asphalt surrounding the exhibition centre.

The outside features a flowing set of chicanes prime for passing opportunities, from there it's a quick run down to twisty set of curves before heading back up into the main hall to finish a lap.

With changes in surface, elevation and dealing with the shift in lighting, the field face a unique challenge with this indoor and outdoor circuit.

It all comes down to this. Two final races to decide the Season 9 champions as the grid gets set for wheel-to-wheel action at motorsport’s only indoor and outdoor circuit.

We're back at ExCeL London and thanks to the emissions-free nature of the cars, London features a unique track that weaves its way both inside and outside of exhibition centre and around the historical heartland of the Royal Docklands; a first for top-level international motorsport. The Brits go well at home, after eight races in the UK capital we've seen four home winners - will we see more in Season 9?

Tinie Tempah live in London

Award winning London born international superstar, Tinie Tempah is bringing his electric energy to London ExCeL for the 2023 Hankook London E-Prix in a headline performance in the Allianz Fan Village and on the grid ahead of Sunday’s race.

Meet your heroes in the pit lane walk

Meet the drivers and get their autograph in our spectator pit lane walk and autograph session. Wristbands for the session are available to collect from 09:30 at the Allianz stand inside the Fan Village. This operates on a first come-first served basis and is limited capacity so please arrive early to secure your wristband.

The pit lane walk will start at 14:15 with the drivers coming out for the autograph session at 14:30. The holding area and meeting point are located at S1 opposite Costa Coffee on the West side of the boulevard.

Allianz Fan Village

Alongside all the action on track, you can expect even more excitement in the Allianz Fan Village - Formula E's immersive fan festival at the heart of every E-Prix. It's a full-day's worth of entertainment, exploration and innovation just waiting for you.

This year the Allianz Fan Village will transport fans into an immersive, experiential experience where they can explore multiple zones that showcase everything Formula E and our partners have to offer. Fans will have access to eight unique zones, each with it’s own activations, displays, entertainment and giveaways for fans.

    Watch Tinie Tempah headline the Performance Zone stage inside the Allianz Fan Village after qualifying and listen to our resident DJ throughout the day. Look out for 150 dancers performing here and a whole host of roaming entertainment acts.

    Fans will be able to see the evolution of the Formula E cars and grab a photo with the iconic GEN3 using our Glamdroid robot. Be sure to grab one of our exclusive, personalised trading cards or test your livery design skills with our digital graffiti wall. Why not grab an official Formula E tattoo and paper helmet whilst you’re in this zone? The GEN3 zone will also have our official FE merch store.

    Can you set the fastest lap in our 20-simulator Gaming Arena? Be sure to catch the Amped and Accelerate finals on the gaming stage, bringing together 11 world-class sim racers and influencers all battling for the top prize.     When the track is cold, fans can chill out in our Social Zone. Take a seat on our up-cycled tyre chairs, charge your phone on our free phone chargers and watch some acoustic music acts perform throughout the day.     Explore this interactive area where you can learn how FE is a sustainable sport on a global and local level. Enter our Immersive dome and watch our sustainability message come to life through videos, documentaries and talks. Try on a VR headset and be transported to a virtual nature reserve. Visit our collaboration with Kew Gardens and see the COP26 Exhibition. Sit-back and enjoy a range of stage shows on sustainable living.

    Test your skills against Formula E drivers to see if you’ve got what it takes to race at 200mph. Can you set the fastest score on the Batak wall and inside the Ballnado? Show off your dance moves on our energy-generating dance floor. Take part in the VR/AR technosport that is HADO and see if you can be the last fan standing. Why not grab a digital caricature on the winning podium with Digitoons?

    Be sure to visit all our partner activations and see their latest car displays, technology and sustainability efforts. Inside the Fan Village we will have Allianz, Hankook, Nissan, CUPRA, Motorsport UK, UNICEF, SAUDIA, SABIC and DHL.

    Want to know what it’s like to be a racing driver, mechanic or engineer? Girls aged between 12 and 18 are invited to explore the world of motorsport and learn all about the inner workings of Formula E, with interactive displays activities from Motorsport UK, Williams Advanced Engineering, Hankook, Allianz and ABB.

Location

Formula E is heading back to ExCeL London for the final double-header of the season. Just two races to decide the Season 9 champion at motorsport's most unique circuit in and around the exhibition centre and the historic Royal Docklands.

Be sure to check your journey in advance ahead of potential strike action and planned closures.

Getting to the circuit

ExCeL London - Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, London E16 1XL

By public transport: Arrive to the Custom House station on the Elizabeth line or Docklands Light Railway (DLR).

For information about the step-free access on the stations please refer to the below guide from TFL.

By Car: Public transport is recommended to attend the event. There is no parking available at ExCeL London on the Event days. If you are arriving by car there are public car parks in close proximity to the ExCeL London, please visit the link below for more information.

If you require an accessible parking space please contact London@fiaformulae.com to reserve a space.

By Taxi: There is a designated taxi rank at the event, which is located at Western Gateway, London E16 1DR.

By Boat: Arrive to the Royal Wharf Pier by Thames Clippers. It takes just over 20 minutes to walk through Britannia Village and over the Royal Victoria dock footbridge to ExCeL’s west entrance.
