The ExCeL circuit will see the drivers run along the Thames waterfront and thanks to the emissions-free nature of the Gen2 cars, the unique track weaves its way both inside and outside of ExCeL London - a first for top-level international motorsport.
The ExCeL Circuit will again see the field go inside/out as they tackle the unique challenge around the ExCeL London.
The lap starts off indoors on a silky-smooth asphalt offering bags of grip, and after a quick succession of the corners the pack heads outside, Immediately on exit they will touch a strip of slippy metal, before heading down into the outdoor portion with the highly abrasive asphalt surrounding the exhibition centre.
The layout has been slightly modified for Season 8, with a new chicane complex around Turns 10 to 13, giving the ExCeL Circuit a bit more flow for 2022. From there it's a quick run down to twisty set of curves before heading back up into the main hall to finish a lap.
With changes in surface, elevation and dealing with the shift in lighting, the 22 drivers are in for another challenging affair in London.
