Getting a decent launch off the line from his ninth place grid spot, NEOM McLaren's Sam Bird gained three positions on the opening lap. Sitting well within the rhythm of the lead group, the Brit used the first of the E-Prix to conserve energy before picking off more positions in the closing stages to cross the line in fourth.

Diriyah Street Circuit

Old meets new as all-electric street racing takes to the ancient surroundings of Diriyah. With 21 twists and turns, the 2.495km Diriyah Circuit skirts around the historic town walls of the UNESCO World Heritage site.

The drivers face a challenging lap from the finish line as a technical first sector leads into the snaking Bobsleigh Run at Turn 6, a series of fast changes in quick succession.

The track is a true test of energy management and strategy with a long straight to close out the lap. For extra measure, the race is run in the dark with an illumination of LEDs lining the circuit, expect sparks to fly when the drivers go wheel-to-wheel.

Double-header in the dark

Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, gets set to host another pair of night races as Formula E illuminates the historic desert surroundings of the UNESCO World Heritage site.

Expect exciting battles throughout, showcasing that even the most intense, unpredictable racing can take place without the environment paying the price, as the circuit is illuminated with the latest in low-power LED technology.

OneRepublic live in Diriyah

The electrifying entertainment doesn't stop when the flag falls as OneRepublic headlines the stage in Diriyah. Currently on a world tour, the American pop-rockers will bring global chart-topper 'Counting Stars' and their back catalogue of fan favourites, including 'Apologize', 'Stop and Stare' and the whistle-along hit 'I Ain't Worried' from the Top Gun Maverick soundtrack.

Meet your all-electric racing heroes and peek into team garages at the Autograph Pit Lane Walk! Get there early to collect your wristband and get access to the autograph session. Wristbands are collected from the information point. (First come first served, limited availability).
