Buemi leads Practice 3 ahead of Qualifying

Buemi leads Practice 3 ahead of Qualifying

For the second day running, former champ and Renault e.dams driver Sebastien Buemi posted the fastest time of 1:02.002, in front of DS Virgin Racing's Alex Lynn who trailed by 0.349-seconds, followed by reigning champion Lucas di Grassi, just 0.378-seconds behind the leader.

In contrast to Saturday's two practice sessions, Sunday allows for just one 45-minute practice ahead of Qualifying.

A slippery track had drivers wrestling to keep their cars out of trouble, with rookie driver Luca Filippi (NIO Formula E Team) having to work particularly hard but he emerged unscathed. The same can't be said for Renault e.dams' Nico Prost who incurred minor damage to the rear of his car after nudging Dragon's Jerome D'Ambrosio.

Qualifying Groups - Round Two With a new way of deciding the qualifying order, drivers will now go out in groups based on their standing in the championship.

The top five drivers in the championship will form Group A, with 6th-10th in Group B, 11th-15th in Group C and 16th-20th in Group D.

A lottery element will remain, to determine the running order of the four groups.

One driver from each group will be randomly selected to conduct this lottery.

Ahead of Round Two, the Qualifying groups are as follows;

Group 1 (D) 18 - Andre Lotterer 16 - Oliver Turvey 1 - Luas di Grassi 6 - Neel Jani 7 - Jerome D'Ambrosio

Group 2 (C) 9 - Sebastien Buemi 20 - Mitch Evans 5 - Maro Engel 19 - Felix Rosenqvist 27 - Kamui Kobyashi

Group 3 (B) 28 - Antonio Felix da Costa 4 - Edoardo Mortara 36 - Alex Lynn 8 - Nico Prost 68 - Luca Filippi
