Michaella Snoeck to join Formula E as Chief Media Officer

Formula E has today announced that it has appointed Michaella Snoeck to the role of Chief Media Officer, effective January 2026

Michaella joins Formula E after more than an eight-year tenure at Formula 1, six of which as Head of Media Rights, where she led the broadcast and distribution strategy, negotiating multimillion-dollar rights agreements, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding distribution footprints across international markets. Prior to that, Snoeck held roles at World Rugby, and with ESPN, working on the 2012 Olympics during her time there. 

Michaella is a recognised industry leader and in her new role as Chief Media Officer at Formula E, Snoeck will be responsible for continuing to drive Formula E’s global growth, bringing the sport to more fans than ever before, and expanding its current fan base of over 422 million worldwide.

Leaving the business in January is Jonathan Salt, who currently holds the position of VP, Media. Since joining Formula E more than five years ago, Salt has played an important role in shaping the company’s media strategy, where today he leads Formula E’s Broadcast and Media Rights function. Salt leaves to pursue a new opportunity with the English Premier League.
