It’s a big weekend for Felipe Drugovich, not only is he making his full-time Formula E debut but he’s doing it at home in front of the Brazilian crowd for the 2025 Google Cloud São Paulo E-Prix.
Signed up with Andretti, partnering alongside Season 9 champion Jake Dennis, Drugovich gets ready to race in front of his home fans for the first time in his professional racing career. He’s got some Formula E experience, jumping in for Mahindra Racing across two races in Berlin last season, but this will be his first chance to really make a team his own.
PREVIEW: Everything you need to know about the sizzling São Paulo season-opener for Season 12
“It’s going to be incredible to be doing my first Formula E race at home in Brazil and in São Paulo,” FIA Formula 2 Champion Drugoivich said ahead of the race weekend.
“It will be my first time racing in an international, top-tier motorsport race in Brazil so that means a lot to me and I’m sure it’s going to be a pleasure, especially racing in front of my family who will all be there. Hopefully we can put on a show for them!”
Drugoivich already revealed that his aunt had bought a big group of tickets for his family, and that they’d be sat in the main grandstand for the race day. Tickets are still available so grab yours before they go!

“My goals for the season are mainly going to be around getting more and more comfortable with the car and to just keep working on myself and try to improve at every race,” Drugovich continued. “Testing went reasonably well, but obviously there is still a lot more to come, so it will be a case of refining everything.
“Regardless, I’m super excited to get started. I would like to thank all of the fans that are coming to watch me too – they’ve all been so supportive of me and my career, so to be able to race in such a cool environment in São Paulo is going to be really special for me.”

This is the fourth running of the São Paulo E-Prix, with previous winners including Mitch Evans twice (Jaguar TCS Racing) and Sam Bird (NEOM McLaren). It always puts on an outstanding show and makes for the perfect season-opener this weekend.
