Rowland sets the pace in first Practice in Hong Kong

Nissan e.dams' rookie Oliver Rowland led the way during the first Practice session of the day here in Hong Kong after setting a 1:09.283s lap time - a full seven seconds off the overall lap record set by his teammate Sebastien Buemi in 2017/18. Second fastest was DS Techeetah's Andre Lotterer with 1:09.653s followed by his teammate Jean-Eric Vergne with a time of 1:09.744s.

Early morning showers saw the drivers head out on to a rain drenched track for the first timed session of the 2019 HKT Hong Kong E-Prix, with the drivers fighting hard to keep the cars facing the right way. With road markings, drain covers and the uneven road surface of the city's financial district, Hong Kong is "one of the most challenging circuits" said championship leader and Mahindra Racing driver Jerome d'Ambrosio.
