Formula E agrees highlights deal in 54 countries with Eurosport

Formula E will air highlights after each race on Eurosport in addition to exclusive live coverage in Germany, Poland and the Nordics.

Eurosport is the leading pan-euro channel in Europe with a household reach of 137 million, broadcast in 20 languages across 54 countries.

Ali Russell, Director of Media and Strategic Partnerships at Formula E, said: “I’m thrilled to announce this highlights package deal with Eurosport on top of the previously announced exclusive live coverage in Germany, Poland and the Nordics. We look forward to working closely with Eurosport and being able to offer more fans the opportunity to watch and follow Formula E.”

Peter Hutton, Chief Executive Officer, Eurosport said: “Formula E is capturing the imagination of sports fans everywhere and we are delighted to bring the highlights of this exciting new format of motor racing to Eurosport viewers in 54 countries across Europe. Only last month we secured the exclusive TV and digital rights to the FIA Formula E Championship in Germany, Poland and the Nordics until 2017 and this announcement further demonstrates our belief in the potential growth of the sport. Broadcasting Formula E, along with live coverage of major motorsports events including MotoGP, FIA WTCC, Le Mans 24 Hours and the World Superbike Championship ensures Eurosport can reach the widest possible audience with a great selection of premier racing content.”

Further TV deals will be announced in the coming weeks.
