The 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship couldn't have gotten off to a more exciting start in São Paulo with the GEN3 Evo on-debut, and Mexico City was another classic as three heroic overtakes inside a minute sealed the win for Nissan's Oliver Rowland.
HIGHLIGHTS: Catch up with the 2025 Mexico City E-Prix Round 2
Rounds 3 & 4 headed to Saudi Arabia and a new location in the Jeddah Corniche Circuit for a double-header under the lights. There was a debut for PIT BOOST, as well as nail biting action from victors Maximilian Guenther & Oliver Rowland.
Miami round 5 at the Homestead Speedway saw Pascal Wehrlein reigniting his championship hopes, and a long-awaited return to the podium for Lucas di Grassi (Lola Yamaha ABT).
In Monaco we saw the return of PIT BOOST, an ultra-fast recharging technology that gives drivers a 10% energy increase (3.85kWh) through a 30-second, 600kW boost. Wet weather made the task of racing in Monaco even more challenging, but Oliver Rowland was able to extend his championship lead and Sebastien Buemi made it back to the top step of the podium after a 78-race wait.
Rounds 8 & 9 returned to Tokyo after a debut in 2024, however, was a tale of two wildly different races. The rain rolled in on Saturday, stopping Quali and threatening the race itself before a merciful break in the weather allowed the drivers to get on track and drift their way around a classic street track for a PIT BOOST race to remember. Round 9 on Sunday brought the sunshine and packed crowds to the Big Sight Tokyo circuit, and was one of the best races of the year so far!
