Open Talent Call Finale: The four finalists being put to the test in Valencia

With the official ABB FIA Formula E World Championship test kicking off the 2020/21 season later this month, we can now reveal the Final Four contestants facing a rigorous series of challenges in Valencia.

The judges; Maya Jama, Daniel Abt and Amazin LeThi pored over the entry videos for the top 15 contestants and have selected four talented young hopefuls: Tati Baker, Derin Adetosoye, Aiden Vincent and Alexa Rendell.

The next stage of the Open Talent Call will take place at the official Formula E test in Valencia, Spain. The presenting skills of the four finalists will be put to test in a series of trials in front of the Formula E cameras.

There can be only one, as the judges will then select who will join the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to present at the opening round of the 2020/21 season in Santiago, Chile.

Meet the Final Four

  • Alexa is a 19-year-old TV production apprentice, who dreamt of being a journalist when growing up, but after watching the London 2012 Olympics, she became inspired to become a sports presenter.
  • Broadcast journalism student Derin had a childhood aspiration to one-day become a presenter. The 21-year-old has already made headway to this goal after co-hosting a web-series for BBC Bitesize and presenting films for the British Council.
  • Student Aiden, 19, grew up in a motorsport family and originally had the goal of being a racing driver. But realising his strengths lay in making people laugh he was inspired to start his own YouTube channel.
  • With hopes of one day becoming a well-known TV presenter, 19-year-old artist Tati hopes to travel the world, interviewing people from different backgrounds and discovering new cultures, with the ultimate dream of hosting her own TV show.
