Vergne and Da Costa confirm their seats at DS TECHEETAH for Season 8

The former champions revealed the news on their respective social media accounts, with Vergne and Da Costa both posting sincere messages that they're ready 'make it a fun one' and to 'keep writing history'.

Vergne has been a long-standing member of the team since the familiar black and gold colours joined the grid in 2016/17. The Frenchman led the squad to two back-to-back titles in 2017/18 and 2018/19, a first in Formula Es history.

Da Costa's arrival in 2019/20 made the Franco-Chinese outfit the team to beat, putting in a dominant performance to take the Championship crown in his first season with the team. The Portuguese driver's success made it a hat-trick of driver titles and a pair of team titles for DS TECHEETAH.

Busy preparing for Season 8, the DS TECHEETAH pair will get their first spin at the official pre-season test at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia at the end of November before the 2021/22 season kicks off in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia on 28 and 29 January 2022.
