Team Aguri has announced that Julio Moreno will join the team as its dedicated reserve driver in the FIA Formula E Championship.
The 20-year old Ecuadorian, who competed in every round of the 2015 European Formula 3 season, will perform reserve driver duties for the team while also competing in the EuroFormula Open Championship.
Julio Moreno said: “This is a great team with very talented drivers and engineers, and I’m excited to be a part of it. Formula E is something completely new and is already extremely popular with motorsport fans worldwide, and I look forward to working with the team.”
Mark Preston, Team Principal of Team Aguri, said: “Julio is a promising driver who has great experience for someone of his age, having competed in single-seaters for the past four years. It’s great to welcome him to the team and we hope to provide him with the skills and opportunities to further his career.”
