Bosch Design at Home Challenge trophy revealed

Bosch Design at Home Challenge trophy revealed

After a wealth of creative entries in the Bosch Design at Home Challenge, the winning trophy design that will be awarded to the victors of ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge in support of UNICEFcan now be revealed.

With a golden Gen2 car emerging from the trophy, the winning design from South African Bernard Brits will be awarded to the two overall victors after the Grand Final of the Formula E Race at Home Challenge on Sunday 7 June.

As part of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship's partnership with Bosch,  Brits' winning design will be recreated using a Dremel 3D printer. The trophies will then be presented to the Driver Grid and Challenge Grid winners of the Race at Home Challenge, with a third making its way to Brits himself.

Brits' winning design was selected after scoring high in three categories: creativity, technicality and the overall Formula E factor, with how the design reflected the all-electric street racing series.

Upon hearing the news Brits, an engineer in the automotive industry, said: "I have to say I'm honoured and excited at the same time. I can not wait to see one of my designs coming to life and being in a trophy cabinet of a Formula E driver."

Alongside the winner, 30 commendable entries were chosen with the top five getting a goody bag from the Formula E Store and the 25 remaining entrants receiving the Hot Wheels Formula E Gen2 car.
