The ABB FIA Formula E Championship is paving the way for electric mobility and with the motoring giants using all-electric racing as a testing bed, we're starting to see more EVs on the road. Take a look through the current and concept cars that have been developed in the Formula E laboratory.

1/10 Mahindra M6Electro is the only Indian-backed car in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. With a history dating back to the inaugural season, the Indian marque has used the learnings from over five seasons to develop the Mahindra-owned Pininfarina Battista all-electric hypercar.

2/10 The DS E-Tense FE20 is one of the most successful cars on the Formula E circuit after Jean-Eric Vergne claimed his second Championship title behind the wheel of it in New York City in 2019. Alongside his personal win, the team also claimed the Team's Championship trophy.

3/10 Jaguar's I-Type 4 is the latest version of the British manufacturers ABB FIA Formula E Championship entry. The car builds on the team's success in the all-electric championship after Mitch Evans stormed to his and the team's maiden victory in Rome in 2019.

6/10 NIO's EP-9 hypercar set a new lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2017, achieving a time of 6m 45.900s. The car paved the way for the ES8 and ES6 SUVs that followed, incorporating technology from the marque's efforts in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

7/10 The DS 3 Crossback E-Tense features Formula E Championship-winning technology from the DS E-Tense FE19 and 20, such as energy recovery during braking.

9/10 The Porsche Taycan Turbo S is the first all-electric car from Porsche. With up to 750hp, the Taycan Turbo S will hit 100km/h in just 2.6-seconds and on to a top speed of 260km/h.

10/10 BMW's iFE.20 is the second iteration of the German manufacturer's Formula E car after it joined the ABB FIA Formula E Championship as a full manufacturer works team in 2018.
