5. Lynn spins out
After a relatively uneventful two rounds in Hong Kong for the DS Virgin Racing driver, Marrakesh could have been Alex Lynn's time to shine. If it wasn't for Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler's Daniel Abt, that is. Just seconds into the race, Abt hit the back of Lynn's car, sending him into a spin going into Turn 1. Ending up far from the racing line, facing the opposite direction to the track, Lynn fell from sixth place to the back of the grid while Abt was swiftly served a drive-through penalty.
4. Buemi (almost) bounces back
After leaving Hong Kong with just one point, former champ and Renault e.dams driver Sebastien Buemi looked to have returned to form in Marrakesh after clinching the Julius Baer Pole Position during Qualifying. Posting a lap time of 1:20.355 in the Super Pole shoot-out, Beumi started the race on Pole, leading DS Virgin Racing's Sam Bird, Mahindra Racing's Felix Rosenqvist, Dragon's Jose Maria Lopez and Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler's Lucas di Grassi. But despite the advantage, Buemi lost the lead just four laps from the end after allowing Felix Rosenqvist to slip by. "It was not a good move from my side, I could have done much better," said Buemi.
3. Lopez makes a comeback
Former DS Virgin Racing driver Jose Maria Lopez made an impressive comeback to the series with his new team Dragon after leaving Virgin at the end of Season Three. Slotting into Super Pole following a strong performance in Qualifying, Lopez started the race fourth on the grid and finished a respectable sixth.
2. Muller smashes lap record in testing
Despite an action-packed race on Saturday, one of the best moments in Marrakesh came during the rookie test the following day, as Formula E's future talent took to the track in earnest in a bid to get to grips with all-electric racing. With impressive performances across the board, the debut of the day went to Audi Sport Abt Schaeffler's Nico Muller who set a new Formula E lap record with a time of 1:19.651 - smashing the fastest lap of 1:19.760 set during the race the day before.
1. Rosenqvist reaps revenge
For Mahindra Racing's Felix Rosenqvist, it was a fairytale ending in Marrakesh as he turned the tables on last year's result, with just four laps to go. Just over a year ago, Rosenqvist finished third after starting the race on Pole, letting Sam Bird and race winner Sebastien Buemi slip by during the course of the race. But not this time. Starting off in third, Rosenqvist chased down the former champ before slipping past on the inside in a perfectly executed manoeuvre. "It feels great to come back here and win the race," said the Swede. "I finally feel like a settled Formula E driver now."
