Alex Lynn (Mahindra Racing) has sent a message of thanks following his accident in the 2021 Diriyah E-Prix Round 2, which saw the race brought to a premature end via a red flag with a little over five minutes plus one lap left to run.
The Brit came into contact with Mitch Evans' Jaguar on the long run down to the Turn 18/19 chicane, causing the Mahindra to upturn and skate down the straight and through the runoff area before coming to a halt.
Formula E's extrication and medical teams were on-hand to tend to Lynn, and having been sent to hospital for precautionary checks, Lynn was discharged with the all-clear in the early hours of Sunday morning. He says he's humbled by the response from fans, and "100 per cent fine, with no injuries at all" following his shunt.

Both Lynn and Team Principal Dilbagh Gill paid their respects to the marshals and medical staff for their rapid reaction - alongside the invaluable work that Formula E and the FIA carry out to ensure and advance the safety of the sport, with the halo device once again coming into its own.
"Safe to say that was a little bit more of a dramatic ending than I was focused on having," said Lynn "But first things first, I'm 100 per cent fine, with no injuries at all. I have to say big thank you to my team, the FIA and also Formula E for making sure that the car I'm driving is extremely safe.
"The second thing I'd really like to say is that big thank you for the messages have been sent. I'm honestly really humbled by some of the things that have been said, and I do appreciate it a lot. From now, it's just really about getting ready for Rome in a few weeks' time. We want to maximise this really fast Mahindra car we've been given and we look forward to getting going again."
“The most important thing is that Alex is okay after his accident," added Gill. "It was a nasty accident, but it’s testament to the ongoing work that Formula E and the FIA do around safety that Alex only suffered some bumps and bruises and will be back racing with us in Rome.

The team will be looking to capitalise on promising pace heading to Round 3. Lynn scored a Super Pole appearance ahead of race one - on the way to an eventual fifth spot. Contact with Sam Bird (Jaguar Racing), however, meant he was forced into retirement with broken front suspension.
Alexander Sims was able to secure seventh in the opener and good points on his debut with the outfit, following up with an 11th-placed finish in race two.
"There is reason to be optimistic for the rest of the season," said Sims. "Our race pace was good. We were able to comfortably hold position and we know why things didn’t come together for qualifying. So, I'm confident that we can go away and work on these elements and come back fighting in Rome.”
"Whilst we didn’t achieve the race results we’d hoped for, it is clear that the pace is there and we have made a big step forward from last year where race pace was a concern," added Gill. "We will now go away as a team and work on how we translate this pace into strong race results for Rome.”
