Formula E Podcast: Vergne makes history in New York City

Catch up on all the action from the 2019 New York City E-Prix with expert analysis from Marc Priestley, Tom Gaymor and Claire Cottingham.

Jean-Eric Vergne became the first driver to win back-to-back ABB Formula E Championships following the season finale in Brooklyn, New York.

In a dramatic double-header to end the campaign, Sebastien Buemi and Robin Frijns shared the race wins, but no one could prevent Vergne from claiming a historic second title.

Claire Cottingham, Marc Priestley and Tom Gaymor look back at a dramatic New York E-Prix, and reflect on the highs and lows in an unforgettable Formula E season.

  • Claire Cottingham (@Cla_Cottingham) – Claire is a journalist, presenter and reporter whose knowledge and passion for motorsport has seen her work for a number of established media organisations such as the BBC, ITV and talkSPORT.
  • Tom Gaymor (@TomGaymor) – A former professional racing driver who now works within motorsport with teams, drivers, associations, organisations and companies delivering services ranging from Talent Development (with Carlin), to TV Presenting and Commentary (BT Sport, Eurosport and ITV Sport).
  • Marc Priestley (@f1elvis) – 10 years with McLaren Racing, as Number One Mechanic and part of the famous pitstop crew, culminated in helping Lewis Hamilton to become World Champion in 2008. Marc left the team in 2009 and has successfully built a career in media, both inside and outside of motor racing.
