'Crazy' track and 'chaos' in the Swiss capital. After the dust has settled on the 2019 Julius Baer Swiss E-Prix, we look back at the very best of social from the battle in Bern.
Flying high
After extending his championship lead with another 28 points, winning the voestalpine European races trophy and clinching the win in the Swiss capital, Mr Jean-Eric Vergne had quite a bit to smile about on the journey home from Bern. Snapped mid-flight, clutching his silverware, the Frenchman will be heading to New York City with one hand already on his second Championship title.
Rain + 'crazy' track = inner-city chaos
After Nissan e.dams' Sebastien Buemi admitted the Bern track was one of the hardest he'd driven in Formula E and Panasonic Jaguar Racing's Mitch Evans described it as nothing short of a "hardcore street circuit," it would have been difficult to make the Swiss circuit even more challenging. But, as is the way in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, with just minutes left on the clock, the rain appeared, dowsing the track and causing chaos as Vergne desperately tried to hold on to his lead.
A 'revelation' in inner-city street racing
Hitting the streets of the Swiss capital for the first time in the history of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, the race in Bern turned out to be one of the best in the calendar. With Mahindra boss Rajesh Jejurikar deeming the race a "revelation," spectators lined the streets to witness all 22 cars and drivers battle on track for the final round of the voestalpine European races.

Child's play
After a slow season for Nissan e.dams frontman Sebastien Buemi, an emotional third place finish in his home race "felt like a win." Seizing the opportunity to make the most of it, the Swiss driver climbed onto the podium with his son as an adoring home crowd cheered him on. "This one was a good one - especially at home with my son...if there's anywhere you want a podium, it's at home," he admitted.
